FAB REQUALIFICATION
The MC33889 is a monolithic integrated circuit combining functions frequently used in microcontroller based systems. A fully protected fixed 5.0 V low drop regulator output with current limit, over temperature pre-warning, and reset provides power for CAN and the MCU. The MC33889 also provides the drive and sense inputs necessary to implement a second 5.0 V regulator,using an external series pass PNP, that is resistor ratio adjustable to meet peripheral needs. MC33889 has normal, standby, stop, and sleep modes, an internally switched high-side power supply voltage output with two wake-up inputs, programmable window Watch-Dog, Interrupt, Reset, fault tolerant low speed CAN transceiver for module-to-module communication, The combination is an economical solution for providing power, low speed fault tolerant communication, and control needed for MCU based systems.
